Back to querying!

I’m back at it again! My most recent book has been polished and sent off to queryland, where I dearly hope it will find it’s way into just the right agent’s lap, gift-wrapped and delicious. I have visions of my queries being carried off via raven, or even pidgeon, every time I hit the red ‘send’ button. (If only email were so glamorous!)

This part of the process is always exciting and nerve-wracking, but I’m using the time to both work on other freelance projects, and hopefully to get ahead on a new middle grade/early reader book idea I’m a few chapters into.

My almost 7-year-old has fallen in love with chapter books this year, and her reading has really taken off. It’s so fun to see what she’s interested in and what she can’t put down (currently, she’s devouring the Rainbow Fairy series). It amazes me the choices kids have for great series at the early reader level – I remember reading everything my little elementary school library had at that age, and most of it fit on one shelf!

Blogging has been at an all-time low, of late, but living and writing has been at an all-time high, so it’s a good trade-off. Until next time!
